Trade-Technical College

Founded in 1925, Los Angeles Trade-Technical College is the oldest of the nine colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District and is known for its innovative ideas to improve student success. LATTC is well known for offering students, adults and the community high-quality academic, technical and professional educational opportunities. Continuing its legacy of high quality educational programs, LATTC is opening new classroom buildings; student services building; laboratories; parking facilities; athletic field; and centers for child development, construction trades, technical education, culinary/hospitality arts, and performing arts /entertainment with Bond and State funds.LATTC has re-engineered its institutional practices, taking the college to a new level
and becoming a national and international leader in meeting students’ needs.

Art and Culinary Arts Building

When complete, this state-of-the-art building and surrounding area will be home to college’s culinary arts facilities, including a servery, multipurpose dining room and instructional labs along with new classrooms, offices and a lounge. An herb garden, solar power panels and exterior plaza for outdoor events will also be incorporated.

Learning Resources Center

The Learning Resources Center project replaced the existing Learning Resource Center by utilizing the existing building envelope. Additional interior renovations and the reconstruction of the existing basement provide LATTC with a modernized 97,302 SF Learning Resource Center.

LASC - Celebrates the School of Science Steel Topping out

August 13, 2018-Los Angeles Community College District officials joined the design-build team, Harper Construction Co. and Sillman Wright Architect officials for a special ceremony celebrating a construction milestone for the School of Science Building at Los Angeles Southwest College. The new, $16 million School of Science is an environmentally friendly, 27,000-square-foot, two-story building funded by 2008’s $3.5 billion Measure J for the modernization, renovation and new construction of LACCD facilities. The building will feature state-of-the art labs, classrooms and a rooftop observatory or students and faculty to gather. The School of Science building is expected to open in Fall 2019.

Small Contractor Boot Camp - Fall 2018

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Small Contractor Boot Camp is a six-week program that provides small contractors with the tools necessary to improve their competitive capacity through a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum. At the conclusion of the 6-week boot camp, small contractors will be ready to bid on BuildLACCD contracts.
